Nevermind The Clouds by Duy Huynh |
Pinterest is great for exposing folks to new artists and new art. Recently, I found Duy Huynh, who is an incredible artist with an imagination and soul to his work that I envy and strive for in my own work. I like how he keeps his paintings simple, not adding too many elements, and yet still giving the viewer a lot to look at. His work is right up my quirky little alley!
Honestly, I wish he sold prints because the prices of his originals are way outside my price range and I would love something of his. While I'm a fan, there's nothing I can do when his work (though worth it) costs more than I bring in in one month.
Another thing I love about his art is that he's got titling his work down pat. The titles are just as interesting, creative and fun as the work on the canvas, and that is awesome. I struggle with titling my work because most of the words on my paintings take the place of titles. Sometimes my titles are additions to the words on the piece. So I'm definitely envious.
Ok, enough talking, let's get to the work. Some of my favorites:
