In-progress: Dream Big & With Passion

This small canvas (6x6) with deep sides started out red, if you can believe it. But I didn’t like the color, so went to gold. Unfortunately, this one went so quickly that I took no in-progress pics, other than this one!

As it evolved I used “old gold”, “gold” and “bronze” to age it out to the corners, leaving the bit in the middle/right brighter for a message.

After the first layer of gold paint, I began adding puffy stickers in the lower left hand corner. I continued to add until it felt “done”, which ended up being when the entire sheet of stickers was gone.

Then I chose a rub-on quote from Eleanor Roosevelt, and other rub-ons. I have a bit more tinkering to do. I’d like to lighten up the raised parts and darken the underneath a bit more. And I think there are too many butterflies, so I may take them off or paint over them.
